  • "Brueys is an all-time spot for anyone looking to have one of the most legit on-mountain experiences Japan has to offer. Kate and Adam are next level hosts who make every touchpoint within your stay something to look forward to. The Lodge is very warm, friendly, and designed for creating epic memories in the snow. Everything is easy, you can rock up and turn-key with great rooms, a restaurant and bar for your meals, plus you can get your lift tickets right there to be able to get on the hill first thing every day. They offer a shuttle service as well for those without wheels, you can get around easy and have some of the best snow the world has to offer. Highly recommend. Yewww!"

  • "I lived for 8 years in Japan and this is so far the best lodge I ever said at. It's super cozy, which makes it perfect after a day out in the slopes. They have vegan and vegetarian food, which is so incredibly hard to find especially in snow resort areas. I absolutely loved the mattress and pillows/ blankets. (Probably the best mattress I ever slept on in Japan). You don't need a car because you can just walk to the lift. They also offer pick up service from the train stations if you dont wanna come by bus or don't have a car. They have a super cute dog named Frizzle"

  • "Had an amazing stay at Brueys, Tangram! It's just a short walk to the ski lift, which is super convenient. The owners are fantastic and really make you feel at home, even helping with lift tickets to make your holiday stress-free. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are honestly the comfiest I’ve ever had at a ski lodge. The vibe is great, and it feels like you’re staying in someone’s home. The bar has the most incredible view of snow-covered trees, and the beers are reasonably priced. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious! The staff is also amazing—so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!"

  • "Brueys is a beautifully renovated, luxury mountain lodge in Tangram. Kate and Adam are incredible hosts, making you feel so welcome and taken care of the moment you walk through the doors. The bedrooms are each designed with a unique theme, with beautiful wall paper and the coziest beds. The lodge is a 5 min walk from the lift, making it super convenient to get on the slopes each day. The food is hands down the best on the mountain - the french toast and bacon for breakfast were a highlight for me! 10/10 experience. I can't wait to come back to play!"

  • "Brueys is a beautiful hotel located close to Tangram Circus ski area. Tangram has access to both Tangram & Madarao ski areas. The Brueys has a delicious menu selection and great bar. Several restaurants are also within walking distance. The whole place has a comfortable vibe and feels more like staying with friends than at a hotel. Kate & Adam really make sure you have everything you need for a great ski holiday. The Tangram Ski resort is excellent with ski hire, great food options and a lovely onsen & heated swimming pool. But the best thing about The Brueys is Frizzle the dog!"

BOOK THE SHINKANSEN

TRAVEL IN COMFORT ON JAPAN’S ICONIC BULLET TRAIN!

Skip the traffic and hop on the Hokuriku Shinkansen from TOKYO STATION >> IIYAMA STATION - it’s fast, easy, and offers stunning scenery along the way.

THE DETAILS:

>> Travel time: 1-hour 40-minutes(approximately)

>> Travel line: Hokuriku Shinkansen (bound for Kanazawa)

💡 Seat reservations are recommended during peak travel times.


BOOK YOUR TICKETS VIA THE BELOW OPTIONS:

    1. Go to:  http://bit.ly/3JMIgZ3

    2. Create an account and log in

    3. Select Route: Tokyo → Iiyama on Hokuriku Shinkansen

    4. Choose your preferred date, time, and seat

    5. Pay online

    6. Collect your ticket at any JR East ticket machine or counter before boarding. Leave plenty of time to do this as lines can be long. 

    💡 You’ll need a paper ticket — IC cards like Suica cannot be used on this journey.

    • Use multilingual ticket machines (cards accepted)

      OR

    • Visit the JR East Travel Service Center (look for “Midori no Madoguchi” ticket offices)
